Mercedes-AMG GT S Sporting Prior Designís Body Kit

Mercedes designed the AMG GT S with aerodynamics in mind, but Prior Design would beg to differ.

As a company that specializes in the design and development of body kits, alloy wheels, and exhaust systems, they just couldnít leave the Mercedes-AMG GT S untouched. Thatís where their latest body kit, the PD800GT, comes in.

Using a blue AMG GT S as their base model, Prior Design improved the carís aerodynamics with a front lip spoiler, front canards and fender flares, vented hood, side-skirts, rear fender flares and canards, a rear diffusor, and a rear decklid spoiler. The parts are made from quality Fiberglass-Duraflex mix that is both flexible and stable.

Another of their speciality are wheels, so the AMG GT S is equipped with a set of custom 21-inch Forgiato Copiato ECL wheels.
For more contrast, Prior Design used black accents in the form of a gloss finished front grille, metallic gold AMG and V8 biturbo badges, gold exhaust pipes, and even the brake calipers received a coat of gold.

The kit is supposed to fit all Mercedes GT/GT S models, but itíll cost a pretty penny at 10 900,00 Ä per kit.

It's the same kit. What are you seeing that's different?

On another note, the AMG GT seen here looks much better to me than that other one, use of colors had better thought behind it, complements the AMG GT much more. Almost looks like what you might see come from AMG if they planned for some higher performing AMG GT.

Did they fabricate a new hood to add in the vents or did they just work on the stock on and adjusted it for more airflow?

After looking at it, it was the fender vents that are different

Do you realize this isn't some one off project and they actually want to sell parts? Of course it's a new hood.

With a company like this and a vehicle like what we're dealing with, it would be utterly pointless just to take an oem hood and chop and screw it. If this was a Honda, then yeah, you can expect someone to just chop into it as a DIY, not fom a company though.
