2016 Mercedes-AMG Family Reunion

What started as a two-man operation has rapidly become the high performance division of Mercedes-Benz and the automaker has brought the AMG family together for a reunion in their new promo video.

A as in Aufrecht, M as in Melcher and G as in Großaspach are the names behind this unique company. Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher was working on the 300 SE racing engine in the 1960s and that’s when their reputation for optimizing Mercedes vehicles began.

Some may criticize AMG for what they see as watering down the performance brand, coming out with more and more offerings in a variety of segments. But we can’t deny that whatever Mercedes-AMG produces are some of the fastest vehicles on the market and they’re a riot to drive. In their pursuit of high performance, precision and efficiency, AMG has been improving their vehicles every year.

Mercedes-Benz’s latest AMg promo video takes place in an abandoned warehouse. It may look decrepit, but who wouldn’t want to own that warehouse and the cars inside of it including the G63 AMG, GT S, and more. You even have the C63 S doing donuts!

Their full lineup is on display in the promo with the AMG GT leading the pack.

That ending with all of the rev sounds... that was like a symphony. Would have been nice if they'd used an off colour AMG GT R I think

I feel like they all should have been one colour, and then made the AMG GT and the G wagon a different color. Two of the most expensive vehicles on the lineup (not including the Mercedes-Maybach S Class)

Actually I think they had it right all along, keeping those same models all sitting together regardless of color. Plus not ever Benz will look good in the same color, not every one of them even offer the same colors. Best to take advantage of showing off that sort of uniqueness.
