AMG GT C Roadster Edition 50 Will Be Revealed In Geneva
In celebration of its 50th anniversary this year, Mercedes-AMG has taken the cover off the GT C Edition 50 at the 2017 Detroit auto show and now the automaker is preparing to debut the convertible version next at the 2017 Geneva auto show this March.
We’ve already seen the 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster at the Paris auto show last year with its twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. MotorAuthority
stated that no changes were made to either of these components so the AMG GT C Roadster will still be producing 550 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque. Top speed will remain at 196 mph with a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 3.7 seconds.
What buyers will get is a bespoke finish called Designo Graphite Gray Magno and it’ll come with black chrome accents on the side skirts, front splitter, grille, front fender vents, the rear diffuser, and the exhaust tailpipe trims. Not to be left out, the cabin will feature black accents for a bit of contrast against the silver upholstery and trims.
Going on sale later this year, only 500 of these AMG GT C Roadsters will be built and the United States is getting an allocation of just 50 units.
