Mercedes-AMG GT R On the Horizon with Major Performance Increases

By late 2016 we should see a Mercedes-AMG GT R.

The Mercedes-AMG GT R should be faster than the AMG GT S. It will also sport larger rear tires, four-wheel steering and active aerodynamics. Remember the Mercedes-Benz IAA concept? Now we see that active aerodynamics technology coming to fruition in a production model.

This new model will also be the first in the industry to use adjustable spool valve shocks, "in simplified terms, these valve shocks are more predictable at high speeds due to their lack of lift and flutter at higher damper frequencies."

One interesting thing about this new model is that it shares a name with the Nissan GT R. Will Nissan sue? We will have to wait to find out.

So this model will be basically a even more powerful version of the GT S? Or will it also be different in terms of design?

I find it interesting that the GT R name is shared with Nissan. Do you think MB is just putting it out there and seeing if Nissan will do something, or perhaps they contacted Nissan ahead of time?

It should be a well rounded package, performance and the looks to go with it too, performance is the key thing really.
