How about a convertible AMG GT?

Road & Track seems to think that the AMG GT is just begging for a convertible version. What do you guys think? Would you be first to lineup for a AMG GT convertible?

"The AMG GT already looks like it's convertible-ready. And why shouldn't it be? Mercedes shamelessly made a roadster version of its predecessor, the SLS AMG, and it looked simply fabulous. There's always been a Carrera and Carrera S Cabriolet -- so an AMG GT Roadster would fit in well"

I would be interested. A hard top would look nice. I see it competing well with BMW.

Do they need a convertible when they have the SL and SLK already?

It's a good point. I'm not sure if they would really compete with each other or not.

I wouldn't mind, but like mentioned the SL already comes like this. Maybe they can keep it sporty and come out with a Targa? Sort of like what Porsche did to the 911.

I can't see the AMG GT as a Targa with a fixed rear window. Is there something similar to the AMG GT with a targa top?

There is the Porsche 911 Targa it's the perfect example of what the AMG GT could be. And its sales are another good thing to look at here.
