New RWD Nurburgring Record

The AMG GT R has taken the RWD Nurburgring record with a run of 7:10.92.

The closest rival being the 911 GT3 RS managed a time of 7:20 which more than pales in comparison to the 7:10 of the AMG GT R. The only cars faster than it in general around the 'ring are the Porsche 918 Spyder, Lamborghini Aventador SuperVeloce, and the GT-R obviously faster because of their insane AWD capabilities.

The AMG GT R managed to hit a top speed of 302km/h so you can really tell it was stretching the legs of those 577 ponies.

Apparently, no slicks were used in this run which makes it even more amazing. May as well get the AMG GT R instead of the 911 GT3 RS.

The car sits on Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires... A great tire for tracking. Treadwear rating of 180 so there not a full out race compound BUT do still provide excellent traction.
