Glad to have another owner on the forum.

What other vehicles were you considering before going forward with the purchase? I know a lot of people have been looking at 911's.

Help! Living in the great state of TEXAS we are required to have both front & back license plates and this car does not have a bracket or even a place I would want a bracket mounted on the front. I received a ticket... NOT FOR SPEEDING but for no front plate and paid it ($202.00) because I'm not going to damage my GTS. Has anyone else had this issue in Tx or other states and if so how did you fix it?

I've heard before that someone just printed a sticker of their license plate to put it on the front instead of drilling holes and screwing the metal plate in.Not too sure how legit it is though..

You just have to go ahead and do it, if it's a problem, you'll find out. If not, great.

For most cops. once they see a read out of your plate then they're cool with it, but at least one plate needs to be the real deal, and that's the rear plate.

I also live in Texas and drive by every cop wondering if today is the day I get a ticket for no front plate.

They absolutely ruin the front of the car.

Just donate to the local cop drive and put that sticker in the back or side window. It will get you the most courtesy that particular cop will give.

Also, if its the same route, just talk to the cop. Tell him that you take that route often and while you have no desire to break the law, you also would rather not drill holes into the car. Ask if it will be a problem if you continue taking that route. He may say "yeah you'll get a ticket every time, but the truth I've found is they usually don't care about super low level infractions like that"

That looks really convenient. I was always worried about those because I kept seeing the motorized ones and I started to consider ground clearance. But that looks extremely low profile, so I don't think ground clearance would be an issue.
