Spied video of the AMG GT R!

http://www.topgear.com/car-news/vide...ed-nurburgring

Loving the sound of this AMG GT R!

Speculating that this could be the new 2017 AMG GT R.

Quote:

“The new GT R will set a new benchmark in terms of driving dynamics,” Moers told Top Gear. “It will be faster on a racetrack than even the SLS Black Series.”

Once it comes to market i'll be interested in seeing the underbody, looks like its covered up entirely from those rear end shots.

Forget how it looks, see how it performs and sounds, just unreal. That's where its at with these, design is minor compared to what its capable of. Unlike anything we can get out hands on for the street unless we step in Mclaren P1 and LaFerrari levels.

Mercedes is reportedly hard at work developing a new Mercedes-AMG GT R to rival the likes of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

This new range-topping GT will produce a reported 570 horsepower and be priced well above the current £110,500 of the GT S. The GT R is designed to be a limited production run, track-focused car whose underpinnings and chassis have been designed in order to meet GT3 homologation specs.

In order to create a track-focused monster, Mercedes will give the GT R a plethora of functional aerodynamic upgrades. These include a brand new front bumper and splitter assembly.

Additionally, a trunk-mounted carbon fiber wing can also be seen prominently in spy shots captured as the GT R undergoes development work.

The GT R will also feature the same style of grille that was first used on the GT3 race car last year.
570 HP!!

Indeed the sound is just gonna be unreal!

Depends on how it's priced. They said well above £110,500. For all we know it could be £200,000. You do get more power and if you afford it then by all means.

Brabus is one of the better aftermarket companies and they already have a configuration page up for the AMG GTS.
