AMG GT S Straight Pipes

As if it didn't sound aggressive and beastly enough. The Prior-Design AMG GT S underwent some exhaust work and they straight piped it. All sorts of glorious music to the ears..

It sounds like fireworks going off. As much as I love straight pipes, to get to that point, I would instead install electronic cutouts far forward pre-cats. Understandably there are valves towards the end before the axle back, but to have that straight pipe, it would be all the way up front with a remote.

I find that with a kit like this, it deserves a constant obnoxious roar to go with it's obnoxious aggressive kit. I can imagine rolling through the downtown streets with this noise echoing throughout off of the buildings.

The electronic cutout valves would be a great idea, but we also have to make sure there is space for them and how it'll affect the performance of it.

Depends who you ask but to me it sounds great. Most Mercedes V8 of similar potency need to be opened up to an extent.

About that valve, it's already being done

Some tuning brands needs to come along and create an exotic sounding system for these V8's. The AMG GT is one of the best applications for such a system.

I find majority of the exhaust systems out for this.. including straight pipes, sound pretty close together and identical. If there was a tuning company that could make this exotic sounding, who do you think it would come from?

Something like the LFA and Yamaha but I highly doubt that happening.
