No one is saying that Porsche isn't an amazing brand. We are just saying that Mercedes is also a good brand. We can debate which is better or worse, but I think that most people think that both brands are impressive. They are both great companies that are riding close to the top of the industry.

That is for sure, both are great on the track and street. Some of the best brands out there overall.

And everyone gets a medal and goes home happy right? Yes both brands are impressive but the argument was in the context of motorsports and Mercedes just doesn't measure up in that context. You want to talk about luxury and wrapping your clients in a sumptuous environment Mercedes all day. Do they build mean motors yes, but again this is a sports car that trades on the sporting history of the brand whether or not that capability is realized is irrelevant, this is about how a car is sold.

And if you're selling sports cars the number one name in the league is Porsche. They have the motorsports pedigree, the pricing and the positioning. Against the 911 the GT is fighting an uphill battle...

Good pricing comparison of the both of them and even the power and performance specs on both are great. Even at $30k more than the GT S AMG, I think the 911 Carrera is still great for what it is.

HAHAHAH, the king of all Motorsport's and car races and the only one that counts is Formula 1, thats where you get your pedigree and the heavyweight champion. Never seen a Porsche there...
