Electronic nannies makes you a faster driver.

Some drivers will always turn their nose up at electronic nannies and find ways to turn them all off. But Road And Track swallowed the bitter pill and admitted the AMG GT R's nine-stage driver-adjustable traction control will make you go faster on track without taking away from the drive experience.

Instead, the traction control is focused on maximizing your exit speed from every corner. It’s easy to operate and it provides immediate feedback.

Unfortunately for some of us, there’s still a bit of the old mixed emotions to consider, but I think that's a great option for any car driver these days and I would like to try it.

There will always be those who want to have everything under their control, which is fine and luckily Mercedes took that into consideration because you can turn off the nanny systems if you want. Though traction control wouldn't go amiss when track conditions aren't ideal.

Not always will it be easy, infotainment is one of them since often car makers lock out certain functions while the vehicle is in motion. There might be ways around it but at the same time it might take more effort than people are willing to put forward right now. Just a matter of waiting for a bypass.
