The Mercedes AMG GT can now be had in quite a few different specs, but one German tuner still thinks its a little lacking in power. Renntech is offering an upgrade package for the AMGT GT R that can deliver anywhere between 612 to 825hp depending on the trim you choose. On the highest end, the tune also adds a 626lb ft of torque to the equation. The kit features a larger turbo, a software upgrade, blow off vales, a high flow air filter and more. Both the tranny and clutch have been adjusted to handle the additional power. The package also comes with an aero package and a set of lightweight Vossen wheels, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 ZP tires. Renntech hasn't announced pricing yet for the upgrade but its expected to bring the total cost of the car close to $200k.
I wish they shown us more on its aerodynamics because looking at the front end with all the performance improvements under the hood it has me wondering if the AMG GT can use a long nose front end. That could make it more aerodynamically sound.
