AMG GT Roadster Spotted

I really think this was posted but I can't find it for the death of me. Oh well. The AMG GT Roadster was spotted. No hardtop, like mentioned from Mercedes-AMG directly, but you really get a good view of the canvas roof. Third brake light looks to be integrated into the boot lid.

That third brake light is kind of throwing me off... It seems quite deep although I doubt it really looks like that out of camo. Other than that though the soft top is a great idea, keep weight low.

For some reason, the back window looks plastic opposed to the modern glass which is throwing me off. But if that's the case, it would make sense as to why the third brake light is on the trunk as opposed to the interior ?

If it's a hardtop then the window will be glass. Still even a chance of being glass if its a soft top.

They directly said it was going to be a soft-top. I kind of prefer the look of a hard-top though. But you're right, it could still be glass with a soft-top.

The pictures kind of seem like it's glass though because of how straight it is and the lack of super glare and what not

That's true, although it is also true that car makers tend to include things on test mules like this that won't happen just to get people to talk, or things that just seem ridiculous, of course, also to get people to talk.

Glass does seem to be the better option when you look at build quality.

Definitely, the more buzz and discussions about the car, the better for them.

But you're right, I would much prefer to see glass as well. It's just better overall. I hated how the old school plastic back windows used to get all oxidized and deteriorated from the sun and the elements
